I am trying for the first time to try to load new single player maps on half-life 2.When I type in map "mapname" without the quotes of course it says the kspeelman"My username" has been dropped from server and then locks up and have to reboot. Any Ideas

I'm not an expert on half-life 2, but can you load other maps and what map are you trying to load? Also, I assume that you have the steam version of half-life 2, try loading the maps in offline mode.

Sounds like a job for Steam Support!

Also change the texture of the dock. Docks are rarely tile. -Facepunch

i have the same problem. it happens when the compiler loads up your map after compiling. This started a few months ago. Just click create server in your hl2 menu and select your map, this will work (sometimes after the second try).
