I seem to automatically log out of the 'Pit after about 10 mins of inactivity. I tried that stay logged in checkbox and went to Internet Options -> Privacy -> Sites and included snarkpit.net as "always allow" but it still logs out after some time. How can I fix this?

You can try deleting the snarkpit cookie(s) (Options -> Privacy -> Show Cookies, search 'snarkpit').

Then login again and tick the box and see if it sticks then.

Edit: seems youre using IE, go to your 'Temporary Internet Files' folder and find the snarkpit coolies and delete them and try logging in again.

Thanks Rumple, It seems to have worked. Now I can visit SnarkPit and use the forums without having to log in every 10 mins. AND not be defaulted to Half-Life 2 mode (the original HL is much better).
