Something else just caught my eye: SunAge
? quoting SunAge website
SunAge is a PC realtime strategy game developed by Vertex4, where the player can experience immersive gameplay with 3 different races, each with their own arsenal of units, buildings and upgrades. The game takes place in a futuristic setting across 2 different worlds, ranging from a lush alien planet to desolate wastelands and through industrial cities.
? quote:
* Dual combat modes for all units: 3 races featuring dozens of units with dual functionality for greater tactical depth
* Multiplayer: Oldschool multiplayer with focus on gathering 4 kinds of resources and outsmarting the opponent in battle
* Command queuing: Command your units to prone, build or attack where you want them and WHEN you want them to do so.

I'm totally going to try some tech-stuff like what's in Alan Wake (the streaming data from disk to memory and memory to GPU)
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

Starcraft 2, Street Fighter 4 (cool trailer on youtube for it), the new TNA game, GTA 4. Actually quite a lot of games really. Hopefully they'll be good. Games have sucked recently.

Starcraft 2, since there doesn't seem to be any warcraft 4 coming... ever.

Kane and Lynch: Dead Men. Looks promising. Of course I'll be getting GTA 4 first.

Holy crap, you got lucky! So is Assassin's Creed out officially in Aus? Its out on Friday here, and as I preordered I'll probably be getting it on Thursday, but getting it already? Lucky man
" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif"> Mass Effect is even more remarkable, given it isn't out here for almost 2 weeks yet. I had heard it had its street date broken in the US but didn't realise it had elsewhere too.

Man been playing Assasins Creed since my post till now its awesome the
cities are so huge, and the fighting is way better than most 3rd person
games. I'm finishing it before I start Mass Effect since that is going
to take a while to finish I think. Story in Assasins Creed is pretty
good too so far and one of the few action games where I play sometimes
just to see where its going. It's not "officially" out in Australia,
but some stores have it stocked like Gametraders and sometimes copies
just go missing
" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif"> . Also Call of Duty 4 is very, very short but I thought it was quite good and the multiplayer is the best yet, it has a lot of good ideas put into it.

Just clocked Mass Effect, the game is the best I've played in a long time. A little too similar to KOTOR, but I liked KOTOR a lot so I don't mind. Action is a lot funner than I would have thought, but there is an issue that if you don't pick soldier as a class, be prepared for a harder time getting through the game on normal difficulty.

A friend showed me a few minutes of 'Hellgate: London', and it seemed pretty nice. I read about it on gamespot though and it appears the game suffers from repetition and various glitches, but hopefully they'll fix that with a bunch of patches.
Has anyone tried it?

I bought it a couple of weeks ago. It does get a bit repetative. I'm finding it better to play in smaller doses.
At the moment the game is very buggy. Lets hope a couple patches do the trick.

I went and purchased Assassin's creed yesterday, quite possibly the best console game I've ever played, I loved the prince of persia games where you could jump around and such, but compared to AC, prince of persia is nothing, ac is just so amazing when it comes to moving around freely, you don't have to find the correct route, you can just go where ever you desire.
Highly recommend getting this game.
