It took me like 16 hours to download Portal on a 576k connection and THAT sucked.

Haha. Why didn't you just get the game from a store? I mean you're talking about something that just about fills a DVD-ROM.

Seriously, what are their sizes? Other people use the internet from this machine. My brother downloads videos from Bebo or some other dink website.

You know, when you go to download these things or look at their properties in steam it tells you the GCF cache size.


Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

You would have to already pay for the game first to find out how long you're going to wait until it's installed. You see with a connection like mine the download size is a factor of whether I should purchase or just not bother.

I got HL2 for free when i bought my Radeon 9600 pro. So i had to download it. Pissed me off tough, i had no idea why i had to wait almost a year to get my game. I just didn't keep up with things like that back then.

Yes. You can pause downloads and resume them later.

Thanks, so that's like, 2,099 Mb for Episode 1 and 3,185 Mb for Episode 2?
