I reckon snarkpit should have its very own IRC channel. I think this would be a great idea.

Are you joking?
Look at the bottom of every page on this site, bright eyes.

Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

There's usually a handful more on - i'm intermittent in my presence but still appear. All the people on there are old regulars, I doubt you will have heard of most of them tbh.

I encourage all snarkpit members to go onto the snarkpit IRC channel whenever they are connected to the interwebs. Its good fun.

If you are using firefox, than this is a perfect IRC client for you: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/16 (link thanks to rumple)

If youre not using firefox (you should be) and you have windows than this is the one for you: http://www.mirc.com/

Once you download the right IRC client for you, click on the IRC link at the bottom of any snarkpit page, and join in the fun.

ZL is there quite often, I assume he has a bouncer for omnipresence!

If you are using IRC, it's worth downloading NNScript - it saves settings for Quakenet and other popular networks, as well as having a spinky interface and lots of control tools.

Are you using a Zone Alarm product by any chance? If so, in the 'ZoneAlarm Security Suite' go to 'IM Security' > 'Advanced' and untick 'Block IRC'. Helped me when ZoneAlarm was causing trouble. When I scan my computer, also using ZoneAlarm, mirc/irc applications are detected as viruses. I've set them on ignore now, I think they appear as viruses even though they're no threat, but I could be wrong.
