Well, ask that question on the friendly and helpful facepunch forums.

You'd probably get speedier, more helpful answers from the garry's mod forum. In fact if you do a forum search there for 'grayed out npc menu' or something along those lines, I'll bet you find some relevant information and possibly even a solution. I personally don't have gmod or the slightest clue as to what the problem you're having could be (aside from barking up the wrong tree).

This is mostly a level design site where a majority of the conversation coincidentally has little or nothing to do with level design. In any case welcome to the Snarkpit, enjoy your stay, don't feed the wildlife and keep your limbs and belongings inside the vehicle at all times.

Hey ... there's a feature the new site would need a "What Is ..." search functionality, that automatically searches Google.

Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

The most badass forum on the internets. From the studio that made Gmod. Sorry for the sarcasm but I hate that place and all questions regarding Gmod remind me of it. Spending a few moments there made me stop Gmodding and I never came back.

In fact, you are doing fine trying to find help somewhere else. It's a good idea to never even google it and Gmod is a nice idea after all.

Snarkpit, however, is more of a place for mappers, for creating content outside the game. Gmod is more a very, very unusual sandbox game than an editor in the traditional sense. Would be totally coincidental if we have a Gmod expert here.

If you wanted to start mapping, however, here would be the ideal place to look for help.

Facepunch is where 12 year old gather to fall on their knees and pray to their false idol Garry.
