It would seem that way ... unless you were using a 64-bit OS.

Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

Yes, thanks to the magic of Windows Vista (R) the world can experience powerful 8 GB of RAM in an exciting 64-Bit environment!

i am using 64 bit vista
the 64 bit has caused me problems, but only with some older Ubi games, like heroes of might and magic

I'm assuming, due to the contents of this thread, that a lot of you guys sleep at your computer desks? That seems unhealthy.

well my bed's right next to it, but that might be because i live in a dorm and can't move my desk

EDIT: Jet Force Gemini was quite a fun game, i never owned it but i did get an opportunity to play it

and, reaper47, I think you're talking about my dynaflex, i'm guessing yes, it is a gyroscopic forearm exerciser

EDIT: actually when i first formatted it i had a problem with video drivers, but that was just because it had installed version 1.0 of the drivers, once i figured that out and updated it it was all fine

You're the first person I've ever heard say they got everything working just fine in any 64-bit version of Windows anything.

The different versions of vista don't come into play with drivers, as the kernel is the same.

Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

It looks vaguely like a security guard's monitoring station. The kind used to spy on people at bus stops.

I told you not to read that.

Looking at all the computer setups I feel kinda behind on the futurism trend. THis almost looks like the Deux Ex desktop computers. 3 monitors, glowing lights everywhere... I doubt they'll ever make those transparent screens. Why do all sci-fi designers think that people want transparent screens?

They'll exist when OLED is ready for consumer deployment.

But I would imagine it to be pretty distracting. It's like the opposite of sunlight screen reflections.

Who said the screen would be transparent while you're using it? :P

Ohh... well, that's beyond stylish then. <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/heee.gif">

I was just thinking of those sci-fi screens you see in movies. They're always transparent while being used. And that would be horrible for everyday use IMO.

I am teh future.

@Riven: Niceeee.
Is that a Razer mouse? Every time I've gotten one it died in a few months =/ I think maybe due to a 1337 overload on the circuits. My MX510 has lasted for years though.

I want stereoscopic HD computer monitors in my sun glasses and a PC the size of an Ipod.

=o
