Let's see some WIP screenshots people! I know someone has to have something finished enough to post a screenshot of it.

I can't say... but i'll tell you that the room your looking at is finished. I just have to change a texture and maybe tweak the lighting.
You and me aren't the only ones who are entering are we?

That room looks pretty bare, is it supposed to look like that?

yes...
Seriously people; almost no one is entering and you've all seen my work. You know i have no talent. Why not enter and win $30.

Apparently ecco is entering the competition, but who knows. And I wouldn't say that you have no talent.

Well, I better admit that I am not creating an entry for this competition. I figured it will be alright to just "host" it instead. I hope I didn't disappoint anyone! ? quoting RedWood"You and me aren't the only ones who are entering are we? "
But I'm not worrying; I think there are a few people entering, so you shouldn't be alone. And remember, you can send the maps to the e-mail address or post a download link in this thread whenever you're ready, no need to wait for the other guys. The entries will be kept secret if e-mailed, unless otherwise specified by the author until the deadline arrives and voting thread is created.
Once again, you still have 10 days left! Get to it!

Well, It has been a day since the deadline, and the e-mail that I listed isn't working ATM because I had to switch computers this week and re-setup the e-mail, which doesn't want to work for me. So, I have a back-up one you can e-mail as soon as you see this post: lancon (at) suddenlink.net I apologize for this mess-up, but if you already sent it in via e-mail, please re-send it in to this one. Also, you can always post a link to your entry in this thread too. But I haven't received any entries. (I guess I should have seen that coming...)

I realize
it's been about a week plus, since the contest ended. Took me a bit;
but I've finally completed my boss-battle custom map; not only was I
having a heck of a lot of trouble hunting down last minute bugs tweaks
etc; (I discovered just how much a portal level has to be play tested
for it to function properly) but this was my first experience mapping
for Portal; and I had only done a few practice maps with Half-Life in
the past-- not to mention I didn't notice a lot of interest from the
other members in the contest so I took the time to create the map as I
had envisioned it rather than rush the project and be unsatisfied. It's
so much more than just a boss-battle; it's a fairly large map with lots
of detail-- I'm proud to say it came out as I wanted it to; spent the
last week or so getting my LDR and HDR cubemap/lighting right but here
it is-- give it a run
As of today it's just on thinkingwithportals.com (look for "Tasty
Treats: Chamber 01) but I also sent it to that email address you noted.
I'll be updating and posting it to the various other sites in the
coming days as well as on my own website soon...
here are some screenshots and the download link for ya~

heh, I was supposed to enter, but my mind went blank and I ran into many a technical problem with my map, mainly hammer being awkward and dieing for no reason. But when you get an entry will you be uploading it for us to try?
EDIT: Fail, I didn;t see this page
