Some images in this post have been automatically down-sized, click on them to view the full sized versions:So, for everyone who hasn't been following up on blizzard's major rumor spreading the last week, they had a splash screen on blizzard.com, with some ice melting and demonic eyes becoming more visible behind the ice.People were arguing over whether it was Arthas, some protoss or a new diablo game, since there were things leading to all 3, blizzard had placed some runes around the splash screen, one was a Hel rune from diablo 2, the other a rune from Frostmourne, and a third was the protoss emblem.
Today however, on diablo 2's 8th anniversary, and blizzard's World Wide Invitational 08, diablo 3 was confirmed with this:
I'm really happy about this, diablo 2 was an all time favourite for me, however, I'm having mixed emotions here, since the team that made the original diablo games aren't with blizzard anymore, and I generally hate the last couple of games they've been spewing out (WoW), so I just hope that this won't be a p2p mmo grindfest with diablo storyline.
Oh god it's motherf**king diablo 3 :V
