I tried to post an article but a page comes up and says that you may only upload jpegs and I am only uploading jpegs. Any help would be great.

What is the file extension? .Jpeg? .jpeg? .JPEG? .JPG?

Try '.jpg'

I've modified the image checking functions to handle slightly different jpg extensions, so see if things work ok now smiley

It still does not work to submit an article. The files are .jpg

This is what the error message says:
Error: Invalid MIME type - you may only upload JPEGS!

Hmm well, thats actually a check done by the server.


It does work because I have just tried it without issue. Anyone else having a problem?


I'll see if I can find a way around it... else would you perhaps mind sending me the jpg files you're trying to upload? (I've pm'ed you my email address)

Yeah I had a issue with the jpg thing as well.. no problem I just went in and saved it as a png and it works fine now.. see avatar as proof. =)

I've removed the old way of checking images and added in a new way of checking that shouldn't give any problems. I've made the change on the add map/edit map (improved the handling of additional images here too)/add article/edit article/add download/edit download/edit profile pages which are (I think) all the relevant functions.

I haven't had too much time to test things, but each instance works locally ok so let me know if anyone experiences any difficulties or the above fails to fix any previous issues.

I tried adding a new article using the images you sent me.


Works fine, no problems at all.


Very, very confused.


I had left a couple of the older checks that I'd missed and failed to remove - its only the older message that gives the "mime type" error, so now they're gone things should work ok.

Tried it before I removed them though and had no issue. Very strange :/
