Since vash got one for getting 1337, thought I'd have one too.
Well, for other symbolic numbers.

Six is considered the Devil's number because in the Book of Revelations, God and various other Heavenly entities are associated with the number seven (and of course, seven is referenced in many places in the Bible, ie Genesis). It's believed that six is symbolic of Satan because it comes one number short of the 'perfect' one.
It shows kind of a deep perspective on the concept of 'evil'. In my mind, I see it as saying that evil is not some grand polar opposite of Godliness that popular culture and religious extremism portrays it as, but rather the product of misguided and lonely minds - but nonetheless, minds of people who have equal potential to do good things. (I say this because, if you're not familiar with the story, Lucifer was one of Heaven's finest, until he started to believe that he was better than God - he was 'one attribute short' of true greatness, so to speak.)
P.S. It's 2 in the morning on the day after my birthday, and I haven't the least idea of what I just typed makes sense or is even vaguely coherent, nor do I have any desire to find out.

Perhaps, but 7 seems to be associated with bad things (7 deadly sins, 7 levels of hell, 7 plagues of egypt, 7 thingies in the revelations), and it doesn't explain why it's triple-six ![]()
I think it is like this:
777 - number of God
666 - number of the beast
555 - number of the humans

From what I can remember it's 665 in Max Payne. But I'm not 100% sure.
