Well, the original was entertaining, though I haven't seen it in years. First movie I ever saw with the obligatory guy getting his ribcage ripped out while he's still alive scene. High quality. [addsig]

Probably a really stupid question- but this is a sequel (many bastard children removed, obviously) to night of the living dead, or to day of the dead?

I don't follow my George Romero too well, but didn't he have his pudgy lil' fingers in both pies? So does it really matter? Gah. Its 6 in the freaking morning, I'm going back to bed. [addsig]

Is this movie supposed to be a remake or something of the original movie? [addsig]

It was probably the best of the 3 originals. As OtZman asked, is this a remake or sequel? I'm curious enough to ask, but not enough to bother looking it up [addsig]

Aah cool I love zombie movies. Probably one of the few people who watched the Resident Evil movie more than twice.

Here's the story Reno, you lazy s**t.

? quote:
Suspense/Horror
As the United States is turned upside-down by a strange plague-like event in which millions of corpses walk the earth as blood-thirsty zombies (with the recently-deceased that the zombies kill usually returning as zombies themselves, multiplying their number), a small group of survivors of the onslaught, which include a nurse (Polley) and a police officer (Rhames), try to find shelter and protection within a massive shopping mall in the mid-sized city of Everett, WA. What they don't reckon on is that the zombies still have some sort of residual memory, and *everyone* loves going to the mall, right? Realizing that their time is running out, they decide to make another attempt at flight, to a presumably un-zombie-infested island, but to do so, they'll have to get past thousands of zombies in-between...

I liked it enough to buy the DVD AFTER seeing it three times already. I wouldn't call it one of my favourite films or anything but at the same time, its probably the DVD I own that I've seen the most. Normally I watch a DVD once and add it to the pile, but I've even bothered watching Res Evil's commentary

And thanks for the info mate.

That sounds like a remake... hope they make it good. Is Romero the guy in charge (hope so)? [addsig]

I heard Romero got TURNED DOWN by the Res Evil film because Capcom didn't like the script or something? Oh well, with Dawn of the Dead he is on his own turf, he'd prolly make a better job of it than he would the res evil movie. [addsig]
