thats quite small for these parts, and rather tiny for up north standards..
i take it, housing is rather cramped where you live?
my current home is an old wood framed style about 2000 sq. ft i suppose. and its considered modest.
personally i don't notice how big it is till i have to heat it, during the winter months, it seems gigantic.

Think of it this way, We asked for just over 120,000 pounds for our bungalow.

i am sure its comparable all over given certain criteria.
here in Arkansas, you can buy 1 acre for $1000.00 or less depending on location, or as much as $100,000.00 (possibly more in commercial zones)
i have heard in new york city, or L.A. property is so scarce, you buy it by the square foot, and by the millions.
houses around here in jonesboro go for $180,000 new and $45,000 used on average i reckon.
(note: i leave it up to you to do the conversion from dollars to pounds)

One of the causes is all these people who are getting "self cert" morgages so they can lie on their morgage applicattions, pushing prices up for the legitamate buyer/seller. It practically impossible in some places in Britian to get on the bottom "rung" as it were of the housing ladder. Eness your rich of course.

I'm just the opposite. I just love it when its cold, dark and horrible. Dunno why but it justs make me feel great.

Same here Matt, cold, snow or rain, and darkness make the perfect day.

Besides, its stupid to get hung up on the weather all the time.

It makes a big difference where in Sweden you live, I live about as south as its possible and near the coast, and have a few degrees below 0
