honestly, it's still a reliable computer- just not good for new games.
a lot of you guys really need to upgrade your ram, especially if you are mappers. it's probably the cheapest way to improve overall performance on those old computers, and vital for compiling maps.

I've found that it's all in the drivers you're using, just a few tweaks or slightly different settings can alter your experience from 15fps to 100+.
[addsig]Pah, too much information can be a bad thing. This sums mine up:
800Mhz
384 Ram
Geforce2 MX

althlon 1.2ghz 256mb ddr
msi kt4v motherboard
gforce 4 (the mx msi one)
good ol 9.5gb hd space with about 4gb left
wireless keyboard mouse and headphones
and some more s**t

P4 2.6
512Mb RAM
60 Gig Drive
GF4600 Ti
Much better than my old one, I was putting up with a PII-300Mhz with a puny 64Mb RAM for best part of 3 years. It had gotten to the point where I couldn't play games any more, and WC would crash every 15-20 mins :/
And btw. Orph...hold SHIFT when you go to a new line and it'll not do a 'double' on you ![]()

I rather like my Laptop, I've really gotten used to the portability of it as opposed to a desktop (except that cool Frag Box...)

OK, now I'll explain.
Intellecta MITE is a little box thingy that plugs in thru your parallel port. You can then connect stuff eg. electric motors to it. Theres some software for it, where you design an electrical circuit and it then simulates the operation of the circuit, outputting it to the MITE. Sorta like the lego thing you could connect to your puter, but older.
The Coolest Monitor EVER!!! OMG!!!
This monitor is cool. Not because of image quality, screen size or anything like that. But, it gives me bragging rights.
The monitor is: a 14" Wang monitor. ![]()
So, I can tell ppl ive got a 14" wang! It also leads to some interesting conversations on MSN:
"Oh so your monitor's died? Why dont you come to my place and fiddle with my wang, see if that works?"
"I used to play with my wang, but not anymore. Now my sister does."
etc. etc.

I think that sums it up, Overall a great PC for my needs ![]()
Oh and heaps of fans too ![]()

Laptop
Box that sits in the corner permanently switched off collecting dust:
All fun![]()
