Map description:

de_foodcourt - Bomb-Defuse
By Amstrad (hated.proud at gmail dot com)

A group of fanatical Terrorists has taken control of Oak Lake Galleria and are now intent on detonating a package of C4 explosives at it's heart. A hastily assembled Counter-Terrorism unit has been dispatched to the scene.

Terrorists: Eliminate all opposition and plant the C4 explosives at the foodcourt's center.

Counter-Terrorists: Prevent the Terrorists from succesfully detonating their package.

This will be my first map completed to a great enough degree that I feel it release worthy. As such I've taken my time to make sure it has a touch of polish before I kicked it out the door. Map includes custom textures as well as the overview and radar maps. The bot nav-file was not tuned but appears to be balanced after some observation.

I'm sure I missed something or screwed up somewhere.
Comments, suggestions for improvement or flames (if you feel it necessary) are all welcome at my email.

Those screenshots are bringing back pleasant memories of Dead Rising smiley Looks very good for a first release, so really good job on that. I always enjoy seeing somebody take time to hone their skills before taking the plunge on a release. I really like the ceiling architecture above the main food court, with the light shining through the slats and the hanging baskets. I'm assuming from the fact all 3 shots are taking from the same room that this is an AIM map? While that isn't exactly my preferred style of level, its good to see somebody putting in the effort to make one more interesting than an assortment of crates!

...must go play Dead Rising...

I've covered wars you know...

But seriously, it's really hard not to think of /any/ mall setting in the context of zombies once you've played that game. Though I'm defiantly taking the comparison as a compliment. If only source could handle that many npcs at a time smiley

Also, it's not exactly an aim map, but instead a less sprawling defuse map. Only the single objective, and focused hard on it. There are some corridors behind the stores, but I tried to shy away from the urge to spread it out too much.
