A long time ago (in 2001), I played a map at work that I really liked and for the life of me I can not remember what it was called. It very well may have been an official valve map, because I'm not sure the guy who installed it on our server at our work knew about home made maps. Anyways, I am going to try and describe it..... Here goes... A lot of the map was set outside in a desert canyon setting, what I remember to be main area was a courtyard type area outside with a large dark green door that didn't open at one end and I think just a rock wall on the other end. On one side there was a fairly small building that had 3 or four stories that went under ground (there was secret button on a soda machine which would teleport you to the top of the building) on the opposite side of the building there was a cave (the cave lead to a open rocky "zig zag" area which had a (kinda hidden) great look out/sniper area over the large hole in the ground (described later) and on the same side, but on the other end (near the large door) a canyon trail (the canyon led to a large circular hole in the ground that a had a trail winding down to the bottom which had a little pond there) At the bottom was an entrance to what resembeled a complex with high ceilings wide staircases and a secret room if my memory serves me right. Anyways I have included a picture of what I remember to be the general layout so you can see what I am describing. ANY HELP WOULD BE AWESOME!!!!! THANKS!!!!

Original Old School Half Life : Multiplayer (DM), I don't think it was an opposing force map, but I could be wrong.

Hm I had trillions of maps, but I dont remember ever having played this one. At first I thought it was teyemanon or t_canyon, but the description didnt fit. smiley

The closest I can come up with in my memory is dm_canyonoasis_b3.I cant find a teleporter soda machine(I also have b1 and b2 though, could be in one of those??).
Has just about everything else you described in it though.

Checked out the mentioned maps, and still no luck. BTW, it was a fairly large map, unlike the canyon oasis maps. Is there a link that someone has that lists all the valve released maps (i.e. crossfire, meanie, bootcamp, etc....) So I can see if I actually have all the maps that was released from them. For now, I am still looking though, thanks for all your feedback.

I'm fairly sure, all the other maps we played were the Valve released maps. Park, bootcamp, datacore, etc... If it was a custom map, it would have been the only one he had at the time. For some reason (probably cause I cant find it) I really want to play it with some friends. Anyways, if it were a custom map, I think it would be easier to find..... For the reason that I cant seem to find the valve released maps anywhere to download. I NEED THIS MAP!!

By any chance, did the cave entrance or whatever have vines hanging down from it?

I Don't remember any vines in the cave (I could be wrong though). The most memorable feature the map had was the canyon that had a trail that winded down quite a ways to the bottom (which had the pond and an entrance to a complex). Is there a map like that, that has the vines in the cave?
