NS map im working on, as a learning tool for texture artistry etc....all constructive feedback welcome....i know theres a few obvious flaws, but, hey, its my first real foray into the texture making world....

Dr Brasso...

this one i have a problem with....note: the blue transparent part comes thru no matter what size i make it, it leaves a border of blue #FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF on it....any ideas? its the border of the big black box there...night sky behind it, actually looks kinda cool in game...

[edit]....changed my mind.....they arent ready, or even close.....peace

well, i havent played NS yet...i think i had some trouble installing it and gave up, but if those textures are your work, then your doin pretty good. dont forget that texture placement is just as good as texture design need new floor, or scale it larger. [addsig]

I'm a little confused.  How many of those textures are yours?  If they all are - I say good job.  My only gripe, is that the last shot has too many verticle/horizontal lines, losing the shap of th architecture.  I would throw some flatter textures in there for contrast.

my apologies, i suppose i should have been more clear....and this is just an experiment, not really a serious map....

.... the stone block walls are mine, as well as the riveted beams....they're supposed to have a deeper 3d feel to them....yeah i know, they look kinda crappy in places, but im workin on it.....i figured out the border prob with the func_wall transparent section too....beware the PSP border it leaves unless cropped...

I'm really impressed with your huge increase in mapping skill   These and your other recent shots show off some quality stuff.

Only trouble is that parts of the shots are too dark to make out well.

Why not post the textures as images (rather than inside a map)?

yeah, would be nice to just see them as images, that way some of us can look at them & perhaps suggest ways of improving them. [addsig]
