/me thinks an underwater THEMED map could be really cool, where you're running around some sort of undersea laboratory installation, and when you look out the windows you see fish swim by... and you can bust open windows to flood the room and kill the occupants...
EDIT: /me claims this idea. SUCKERS!

water is only an issue, if it is required to be transversed long distances..
if water is the theme, it should be ok..
korns map is water based, and it looks fantastic..
just don't force players to swim long passages and such, the map should fair as well as any other map..
given you are any good at mapping in the first place ![]()

oh
For some reason I got the impression that Vash's map was going to be entirely water. Like, you spawn in a func_water, you swim through it, you shoot players, and you seek out oxygen sources so you don't die.
But if that's not his plan...
/me claims THIS idea.

/me tried that. Here's some other things me tried if ya want to incorporate them in your map:
1. Have small spots of trigger_hurts set to -20 with env_bubbles in the same spot. This will give a player a spot to breathe underwater and not worry about drowning.
2. Have air_tank items here and there in the map for players to get a breath of air as they swim about.
3. Don't have the sky open..it needs to be enclosed. I fought this a very long time, but could never get the effect I wanted of seeing the sky above the water (the sky was an underwater skybox)...tried many things, just couldn't get it to work.
/me wishes you and Vash luck

It`ll be an under-water facility with windows looking out into the water in such areas. I want to try and get a shark modelled ![]()

Club Swiss mod has a shark and some fish. That mod is pretty stupid, but it does have those two models, some robots, and some flying apache-turned-hoverplane models.

This is a early beta, and i uploaded the RMF so you could get the full view, instead of just screen-shots.
