Behold, my last map for the HL1 engine (the map will probably move on to CS:S). It's axed around an underground soviet missile bunker. Lots of secret areas and stuff, but im a bit low on ideas. Any hints and ideas on how a good cs map should look would be appreciated

I personally like a DE_Dust style CS map, the simple yet effective kind of thing, this map seems very nice but it seems kinda dark to me on the second screenshot.
Other than that it looks very nice.

1st pic looks good
2nd pic looks a little simple box room, maybe add some supports?
3rd pic looks great also, just think with source you wont need to mirror it on the bottom anymore ![]()

It's only the missile room that is dark. I decided to make it so because i'm aware that its a freakin' ugly box. Added a cruel trap there too in that you can test-fire the rocket on any terrorist trying to plant the bomb (viva "Blast Pit")
. Only once, though.

Looking pretty damn good. It's nice to see a CS map that has a reasonably realistic objective (unlike Dust).

It didn't really look like an original CS map at all. Looked more like a HL map or maybe an NS map? :

Love that puddle reflection - not many people use that effect, and those that do don't often use it in such effective and inconsequential places.

Looks good, the rocket bit looks a little dark, maybe brighter? The puddle is looking nice aswell. As mor7y said, it doesn't look like an original CS map, but hell I like it!
