it will take doc days to admit he was wrong and even then, i doubt he will be man enuff to say sorry, and mean it... his last one sure didn't last long.. especially since i kept my end of the bargain, but this thread remains open till sim appologizes...
i won't post anything else, cause it is obvious i was wronged again and don't need to.. but i want sim's apology on the same thread that he wronged me in...
*looks at other mods*
leave this thread alone..any more hate. won't be from me anyways..

STOP IT! Stop! This is ridiculous. R to the I to the D to the ICULOUS! Why oh why do you feel the need to say things like this? It's driving me, and I'm sure other regulars, quite nuts.

This isnt the first time we've had our ... different views ... if you will on maps and the likes. Me will be reading this thread more in depth. But, I would suggest some refrain from posting on this topic.
Sim, I suggest you appologise. Orph is *very* old and wise. Sure sometimes I disagree, but I wouldnt turn around and bash someone like that.

could it be driving you nuts because it doesn't effect you? or its not happening to you?
look cash, i am so tired of all the "poor doc" comments.. it took awhile, but many are starting to see its not poor doc at all, its the rest of the people NOT associated with doc and my issue..
i never asked for help, nor recieved much anyways had i done so.. but the people who keep this going, now they realy are at fault..
i just posted this in the PM's, so i will leave the names out, BUT it does apply here to everyone..
? quote:
i know you mean well, and i tend to agree, BUT till doc STOPS picking fights with me, its never going to end.. i suggest you read it all, and then ask me again if i should stop.. sim didn't exactly point to where it began BECAUSE he is working under the pretext that "since it sounds like DOC, it must BE DOC" the thread didn't turn bad there it was a bit later, when doc did it.. since he was under the SAME PRETENSE.. my point? if people stop associating my comments that SOUND like doc, we will stop having arguments OVER DOC.. as i said, at no time since V4, have i been rude or mean to doc.. i advise you to re-read the topic, then decide..
the bigger issue isn't that i am picking on poor doc, its the fact that certain people are accociating my words to doc, because they fit so well...
jesus fu*cking christ guys, he is not the only mapper out there who screws up, why do you have to keep this going???
i expect it from doc, its in his nature, and its in his history here, but??? the rest of you??
stop this horse s**t and move on.. unless i specifically NAME DOC, assume its about some other sorry person PLEASE!!!!

First off all, everything here - an less you know its true - should be taken as opinion not fact. If one member has an opinion about an other member, take it as such, and OPINION, not a FACT. Dont start adding words and changing the meaning of things. Thats how most of the arguments here start out. Guys, the more we post, the more the situation gets worst. If I had MOD powers, you can bet this would have been locked a while ago.

i will be.... very annoyed if this thread gets locks prematurely..
yes, and disappointed as well... its time you people put this doc thing to bed.. i am not sure as to the motivations, or the deep seated fixation on it, but i do know i am sick of it.. my post that sim quoted, could have been about doc, but wasn't.. the fact that he says its the pivotal point only reinforces the fact that others are at fault.. you should really look at yourselves before you place blame.. the topic he quoted also fits dozens of other mappers.. why not look at it that way..
sometimes you people, make me so sad, to call you friends...

I'm off to get what little sleep I can get before my early wakeup tomorow. Guys, please, keep things professional. For whats left of it. Anyways, good night to all, and please resolve this issue before I get back from flying tomorow. I ask as a favor because it's not good for us as individuals, and as a group, a community.

Just finished another mario map. Since this is a mario thread, just thought I'd add it to return this thread to what the SnarkPit is all about:
maps, and map feedback and helping people who make maps.
So without further ado, here is Mario_Xmas:

and the download:

BTW everyone, I think this latest map is actually rather good. I meant to write a crit on it but got too busy with my own map.
Anyway here's a short version:
- Good r_speeds
- Strong theme - reminds me very much of the small amount of Mario64 I've seen.
- Neat gameplay touches - the rising water works well to level out the height advantage.
The best thing about the map is the theme. In the other areas of the map (not shown), it is almost *exactly* like the castle sections in M64. There are so many Doc maps; for those who only want to download a selection, I recommend looking at this one.

I really see no relation to 'mario' in that last shot...
It's "Wet Dry World", right? From Mario 64? It doesn't get much more related than that.

I like all these mario maps, they are surreal enough to have some really good fun in and get away from...sanity, really. Look like fun, though ![]()
(PS: Arguments on the internet: I found an extremely relevant comment in the Vlatitude tips one day, but since they are random, it will be hard to find out what it is. Any of you who *do* visit Vlatitude might know what it is. That is all)
