Dear Members of the SnarkPit:> >

I?ve have been working on my first map effort, and it is pretty buggy. Nonetheless, I thought I would submit the map anyway, and see if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix some of the worst problems. Only two people have seen it so far, besides myself, but one of them already mentioned that the little red tool-sheds are to repetitive. I?ll have to come up with some alternative architecture for that, I guess.> >

I?m also aware of several mis-aligned textures, and some mis-aligned brushes even. I also have a problem with the water?no its not transparent; but it is displaying as cheap water at all distances for some reason. I am not completely satisfied with the equipment layout either, and some areas (such as the yard in front of the tower) are pretty empty of props as well. I need to add decals still, and try to figure out how why my 3d skybox won?t work (and old fashioned 2d one is in place for now). Yes, I did the skybox tutorial, but something is still wrong. The 3d skybox is needed so the players won?t look like they are in Uru . I had originally meant for this map to be ?smugglers_cove?, but I couldn?t figure out how to make a convincing coastline.

At any rate, I don?t want to spend too much time on this map, since I already have an idea for a better one. However, I would like to have the most glaring problems pointed out; otherwise, I?m would likely make the same mistakes in the new map. Therefore, if someone could be so kind as to download this map, and give brief suggestions on some of the worst problems, I would appreciate it.

Sincerely,

Onniguru
