Lambda: Deadly-Reactor is a project I am working which takes place in the Lambda Reactor Complex of the Black Mesa Research Facility. You play as a HEV clad engineer who is serivicing the dodgy electronic and pump systems.When a pump failure occurs, the backup pump fails, and the core breaches! The radiation from the leak is deadly, and has killed everybody from the cooling levels, all the way up to Core Level B. As you are the only HEV-wearing personnel in the affected area, your the only human life.

Little do you know that the core breach has opened a subspace rift, opening a portal between 2 universes. This allows the many wierd species into our universe. All you can do is fight your way to the top of the core to safety as your HEV suit will eventually fail due to radiation. There are many hazards on the way, including a variety of creatures from the rift, the radioactive fuel, and architectural hazards, such as damaged floors, which could collapse! All you need to, is get to the top, but it will not be as easy as it seems, especially with all the hazards, making the Lambda Complex, a very deadly place to be...

Good and clean for a HL1 map.

Perhaps you could add to the effects with the black lights along that one edge. It's a little tough to give more feedback as they're just general halls and look good so far.

Blazeeer makes some good textures, I'm hoping to use one of his sets in an upcoming map. (I've used various ones previously.)

No, the finished map will be much bigger, this is just a preview. More screenies coming when I have them. The entire map will probably be much bigger than this.

i like the story (reminds me of chernobyl with the pump failure and core breach) and i like what i see. though you could make he ceilings more interesting and add dark shadows. Single player maps, just like coop maps, lend themselves excellent for dark and scary atmospheres. in my eyes this is a must.

Take a look at armada if you want to see what i mean. Though its style is not as "clean" looking as the style you seem to be going for, it could help you out in the atmosphere area.

That looks good, nice blazeeer textures, i'm using them myself though, so you might come across some similar textures in my map soon ^^

The first room is finished, I'm working on the exit now which will be a rather boring, and overused, but still great... AIR DUCT! Complete with spinning fan, and maybe I should add a snark or something, but yeah. I will then work on another room, but, yeah... check screenies for the finished first room, tell me if anything needs adding!
