ok, ive added my section to MS's, i did a slight remodel on my part.

WC or MS: whoever wants to visgroup MS's section...let me know, ill send it to you next. my section is fully visgrouped, except exterior walls.

ok well...MS's section has a few problems.

Error: Entity 0, Brush 98: mixed face contents
Texture !FIRE1 and !FIRE1 Error: Entity 0, Brush 99: mixed face contents
Texture !FIRE1 and !FIRE1
Error: Entity 0, Brush 99: mixed face contents
Texture !FIRE1 and !FIRE1
Error: Entity 0, Brush 157: mixed face contents
Texture !FIRE1 and !FIRE1

ive never seen this error, so i dont know how to fix it. but it appears to have something to do with this "!FIRE1" texture...i removed all errored parts and are test compiling as we speak.

WC, ill send you the errored version (errored parts will be visgroup "FIRED") maybe you'll know how to fix it other then deleting

all that is telling you is that there is both a water and a non-water texture on the brush. (one that begins with "!") all you have to do is retexture the brush so it only contains water textures.

i thought this was funny, i'd never actually done a before and after comparison test for water elements...

that was obviously the before shot, and now.....drumroll please....the aftermath......woot! (and before you say anything, no, its not staying like this at all)...!!!!

damn freaky isnt it....no damn middle ground there....

...and a couple others, since its allready screwed..... ( i have to laff, i have no life anymore)...

i truly do appreciate the gesture money, but i was actually just dickin' around out of sheer frustration...my section is goin the way of a.....well.....turd in a punchbowl.... (the rest of the sections ive seen being the punchbowl... ) ....but i would definately like to see what youve got going, as i could sure use some new inspiration....im finding that these kinds of size constraints are really f**kin' with my ability to produce anything close to decent...

So, whats happening then? Wildcard, hopefully you got my PM, if people are interested I can post the download link I gave him here. It's pretty much teh shell of my section, mainly for linking and size type purposes. Once it's incorporated I'll go over it and put in more detail depending on the r_speed limitatioins that other peoples sections impose.

i am not sure exactly what "paint" IS BUT, a few zoners ago, they made it possible to mix a few textures that were previously impossible to do, you can now mix a skybrush and a world solid, as long as you cannot view the skymix face from any direction ingame...

also i heard you could mix water and world solids too, but never saw a reason to try.

be sure you are using at least zoners 2.5.3, you dont have to use the 17 build.

i am not the "ultimate source", by any means, but zoner is damn good about fixing any bugs that have arisen, and jumping right in peoples asses for bugging up thier custom builds, some im betting its not an fgd problem, unless yours has been corrupted somehow....just my 2 cents...
