I never sacrificed my schooling when I was at school and mapped. I'm at uni now and I still find time now and then even with my huge amount of work (I get more than people at school get) and my busy social life. |
Different people have different priorities and commitments. You may have a "busy social life" and a "huge amount of work", but do you (say) help to organise a major caving expedition? Are you a stressed finalist? Are you a reluctant insomniac?
Is your mother severely disabled? Do you have to take responsibilty for helping her to recover physically, for subtley and painstakingly inculcating in her a positive frame of mind, and for guiding the attitudes and actions of both your parents in the hope that they might recover some kind of life?
I bet you don't.
Those are just some examples from my life; I'm sure WC and TB have their own commitments and priorities, and their own problems to deal with. Everyone's circumstances are different; just because you have the time to map doesn't mean others do.
Mapping is only a very minor part of most people's lives. They shouldn't have to give excuses when they don't have time for it. Besides, some of the "excuses" might be too personal to discuss on a web forum.
