Theres already somebody working on a map exactly like this (not that
you cant make one aswell) but personally, I think he might be doing a
better job at it, although you have the design good, but everything
just seems...out of place.
Well good luck to you.

Well to me it looks like the best rendition of Stargate I've seen so far (if you ignore the terrible quality screenshots, and that the facility should look 'newer' rather than having all that flaky plaster everywhere)

I stated with large screen shots, but didn't want to upset Orph (I run
at 1680x1050 and could hear him spasm just thinking about them). I do
need to get some better quality shots posted, need to take more time to
do them better.
I still need to go back and retexture a lot of the level, and add more details in many places.
I started out trying to get everything very close to the show, but then
decided to do more of a 'based on' than an actual 'exact copy'. I found
that when I tried to get everything accurate, the level of detail in
the rooms was getting out of hand (framerates plunging fast).
Thanks Lep, now if I could only get a vertical water texture I'd really be happy.

Prop usage looks fine, base architecture and material usage could use
more work though. You could also throw in some more variation in your
lighting.
However, even I, who has only ever seen StarGate once, recognized that
portal, so that's a good job done already. Keep it up, this looks like
it'll become something good if you spend some more time to it.

Nice of you to dig up a 2 month old topic! You obviously don't watch Stargate much... or ever. The room is darker not lighter foo!

Pfffft, the control tower is ABOVE the stargate geez.

Looks uncanny though. It'd be nice if it actually worked and sent you to other "boxes" in the map that have completly different habitats ... If only you could get water to render on it's side.

Looks pretty darn good. I love the concept behind the map.

You could use the Combine shield screen to simulate the surface of the stargate transporter. I know it looks different from the one in the movies, but it's the closest thing I can think of (unless you want to custom make some texture).

The main stargate room needs to be much darker, and have small red lights above the doors.
