Hi guys

I`m almost done with a new map and I would love to hear some feedback (positive or negative all are welcome )

sorry , no screenies for now :/ but here is the link : http://www.henchmansion.com/temp/dm_subculture_b1.zip

the setting of the map is ... erm well kinda a fantasy underground bunker/facillity

It is no way a realistic map but for me goes : i like fast medium sized maps wich are fun to play , so i try to make maps this way.

If you like that kind of maps too, plz try this one and let me know what u think of it

I noticed, 13 hours and no comments. So I clicked the download link and.... It borked.

Perhaps a better download location is in order.

Screenshots will at least get you some feedback. I suggest you post some "optimized" ones soonish.

[edit] download finally established. Man, what a sucky connection. I will try to post some comments later.

If its critique worthy, I will post one. The price is one map rating. You will need to download one of my maps and rate it.

Right. Nothing HL2 has been released to date.

WOW !!

you sure took your time for it (thanks !!!) i will take the screenshots as a guide to improve it . I`m myself not really proud at the lightning maybe i better use light spots more often

btw too HL1 style i take as a compliment (for this map) <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

Where do you live? This I assume is a compliment since you said thanx but, it reads "I took my time" meaning "to long"

Or,

"You took your time" meaning "Attention to detail"

Not to derail the thread, (Nice critique there btw, love the web album thingy, and all valid remarks), but how about a hl2DM map from you now Orph. You seem ready. (perhaps a new thread in general section to address this?)

Dude, I have so many ideas for a map that its amazing, even to myself but..

I just got in from a 5 day series of runs. I am so tired its sickening but, this is the busy time and I must contend. Also, being on 56k has disheartened me to the point to where making a map, but never being able to play it to test even its construction aspects is sad.

Lastly, HL2 got boring with the 4,000th or perhaps the 5,000th toilet toss in my face.

I have however been giving thought to making something. A map named Killbox_Canyon. It would combine my worse idea for maps "Killboxes" with my hardest making idea, "Rocks"

The idea of a box canyon intrigues me. It might encourage me to do it. Also, the idea of making a map theme I hate, just to prove that a box can be pretty, is also a motivation.

i was sick this week (no s**t !) btw when i`m gonna rate your mappies , then it will be screenshot ratings (i dont have HL1 installed) does they count too?

/edit : mmm just wanted to give `double trouble` an 8 (nice piccy) then i noticed : do not rate this map unless you have actually played it!

its clear that you have mapping skills so i`m sure :one day there will be a hl2 map of you for me to rate <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif"> (btw do like i do: dont put in toilets to throw i dont like that myself...noobish gameplay <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/sad.gif"> )

k, and now im gonna spruce ? my map up its time for a release soon!!!

(btw spruce ... ?!? im dutch(no my name is not Van Buren <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">) so that is a new word to me <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">, never to old to learn hehehe)
