so this is part of a project I'm working on with Nickelplate, along with modeling from the good Baron von Snickers. This portion is a metal cathedral, and it's going to be set in a candyland-esque environment, this will be my first completion so i would appreciate any input.

that's all

The whole ceiling parts and columns have some interesting brushwork. As well as the outside. But the floor looks very boring in comparison. Considering that the player always looks where he's walking, the floor should have more interestingness to it.

Also all the reflecting surfaces require better cubemap placing. It looks like cubemaps aren't even built.

I'm experimenting with the cubemaps, it's something I have no experience in so it's going slow

Stadric's 5-second cubemap tutorial:
  • place cubmap
  • build cubemap (type 'buildcubemaps' in console)

It's just that easy! <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif">

The architecture looks very good, but you'll definitely want those pillars to be models in the finished product. The brush-work in the front you'll probably want as a texture in the finished product, too.

Also change the texture of the dock. Docks are rarely tile. -Facepunch
