Just checking all is in order here Basically if you want a new topic here, it has to 'link' to an existing map. Map comments, critiques and reviews will also be more 'seperate' soon, a la answering/commenting on problems in the editing forum...

erm, does that mean I have to put my map on my 'pit' if I want to show it at all? I have my own webspace. oh yeah, I'm not making any more HL maps anyway

(that and when I try to start a pit it says I already asked and won't let me )

No, but it does mean you have to have it listed in your profile But I didn't change things to 'force' people to list maps, it's really more of a 'linking' kinda thing which is going to lead onto something better soon, and to stop people from asking editing questions in here!

Fraggard, that new map image looks... okay... haha I think it needs to be more 'modern' and less 'piratey'!

Just a little bug-ish thingy I just noticed-

Someone commented on my "map" in my profile, and "teh snrakput" automatically sent me 2 PMs instead of just one stating that someone had, in fact, commented on my map.

Dunno if its just a fluke, but its a bit odd.

Seems like a decent place to post it, I suppose. [addsig]

Well, it's quite easy to change, we'll see what happens to it

And yeah, to earlier, of course this site will support other games- notice the embryonic Half-Life 2 bit I was thinking about Halo for a bit too- MP mapping can't be that hard!- but everyone's still waiting for modding tools to be released... I'm quite happy to add new games if it turns out there are a bunch of people here who are likely to put up maps or tutorials for it.
