What a striking event. Three cheers for the professionals all around.

Strange for me a bit, in November I flew USAirways on an airbus a320. Some emergency ppl commented on how lucky it is that plane stayed afloat, good design and engineering!

Silly related trivia from ctv.ca

Aircraft safety analyst Joseph Yeremian told CTV Newsnet that airplane engines are actually tested by putting chickens through them, but there are no guarantees with all the variables of actual flight.

Wtf? I sure hope that isn't true because that's an extremely stupid and unfair way of testing smiley.

I am tired of hearing about it already.. I am also tired of everyone saying it was a miracle. Lets give credit where it is due.. That Pilot and Co-Pilot deserve the credit.. not some act of a higher power.. Oh and someone smack the ever-living-hell out of the person who made the hat that said Scully is my co-Pilot.. I doubt the person could wipe the mans ass.

Haha, my bad, I don't think I can fix that one because there is some 30 minute post editing limit now.

I hope they really are dead and they really did die of natural causes, unfairness aside, I still think its a stupid way of testing an engine.

I agree with you 100% Muhnay!! It's absolute rubish when I hear people saying things like this. Not just in this case. I have a very young cousin who is receiving chemotherapy for cancer, and my entire family thanks God every time something good happens. Ok people can have faith and all, but those doctors deserve as much credit as people give to 'higher power'! Those pilots didn't sit back and say 'God help me and land this plane for me' did they? smiley

Thanks Riven.

Has anybody else noticed that this forum thread alignment is off?

yep she's listing to starboard for me

maybe because in the OP I accidentally used correct code for that "quote". I didn't expect it to turn out like it did, I was expecting plain text, that's why i put "unquote" at the end of it, instead of the correct command. So the site code had an open-ended quote box that didn't terminate before it got posted
