Oh my God. I was right about what I said earlier about WonSwap being a dark abode for evil maps- this is by far the worst of the lot (in saying that, I'm pretty sure that I'll be eating my words very soon though). The author, according to WonSwap, is someone who seems to be trying to take credit for this awful map, as well as completely foolishly creating a bounce remake called "op4_bounce" which I expect will completely stuff up your existing op4_bounce map (that was made by Valve). Ho-hum.

The level is a hollowed out cube. It has a sand texture on the floor, rock texture on the walls, and a sky texture on the top. In the middle is another hollowed out cube, covered with an (unaligned) industrial texture of some kind. Within is a computer panel, with 3 buttons on. One plays a bugle (?), one explodes when you shoot it, and the middle one sets off a nuke. Unlike crossfire, this nuke is set off in about 10 seconds after pressing the button. A blast door closes just in time for the flash (but no sound!). For several seconds afterwards, the alarm sound continues, then the door opens again. What is so sad about this is that when you exit from the bunker you're killed by a trigger_hurt- it's not turned off until way after the nuke has exploded. Even worse, on the second level of this building, there's lots of holes in the wall (aka windows) which stay open throughout the event, as does a wall-less room! Anyway, the only way up to this second level is via a teleporter. Which doesn't make a sound, and hasn't been rendered properly- you can see a black box surrounding it.

Basically, this level is like snipe3, but even worse. It has the same building in the middle, and the small "caves" in the rock faces, which are nothing more than carved out cubes within the side of the level. There's also some platforms, accessed by double-width ladders (you'll see what I mean if you have the courage/stupidity to play). And I haven't yet mentioned the helicopter (that contains sniper rifle)- the landing bar things underneath are coated with a red, light emitting texture which looks utterly stupid. And nearby there's a machine gun emplacement that's fiddly to use, and it doesn't make any sounds when it fires. But at least it can turn through 360?. Finally, the sky hasn't been clipped, so you can grab the gauss and jump out the level, or alternatively just "swim" around the sky that caps the level.

It says on the WonSwap page that this was "Rated best level home user made!!!" I can only guess that the author either voted for it himself, or threatened people with this map. I reckon that more effort went into typing out that complete lie, plus the 3 exclamation marks, than he did in making this map.

Verdict

Tries to be snipe3. Which is sad, because it fails miserably in achieving such a pathetic status. A plague on all ye servers who run this tripe.

Design
Um, a hollowed out cube, with another hollowed cube in the middle. With some holes carved in the sides of both.
Gameplay
Most people quit the server I was playing it on as soon as they joined because they thought it was so bad. The rest of us spent
Verdict
Tries to be snipe3. Which is sad, because it fails miserably in achieving such a pathetic status. A plague on all ye servers who run this tripe.
