I promised myself I wouldn't post anything until I had at least finished the basic layout of this map. But, naturally, I'm a liar.

I'm thinking I'll probably change the terrain on the right a little, because it's looking a little too tubular (for lack of a less idiotic word), kinda like a turd. I might even redo the terrain on the left, because it looks a little jagged.

BTW, thanks to Cass for helping me out with the terrain. I don't think I've come close to mastering it.

Thoughts?

These are subs, until I get it down right. Easier to distinguish between these two then yours. [addsig]

The cliffs on the right look like a pile of frosting oozing out onto the ground

but other wise it looks good

The rocks look like crap. No, I mean the ones on the right, they look like one of those fake piles of crap. In brushwork they look fine, but there's not much to go on so far, keep it up though, are you going to have the abandoned mining town style buildings or...? [addsig]

Besides what they said, Your map suffers from what ReNo used to call "Flat Top syndrome"

Anyway, the tops of your rocks are very smooth and at the same level. That really takes away from the looks of them. Make them go up and down a little. Add a lot of vertical variation in the rocks is you can afford the r's. Good luck with the building

Kinda like old western. You know: saloon, hotel, jail. I don't know about mining but sure, maybe. BTW, started the right rocckwork over again, deleted the whole right section. Fake poo? That was exactly what I was thinking.

The right rockwork looks a bit odd, but the rest looks fine.

Nice looking terrain. However, like Forceflow said, the right mountain does look a bit odd. It almost looks like 3 torus' stacked on top of each other.
