This is a a discussion topic for the map "Brawl Biker Bar" by Perin which can be found here

Map description:

This is a Biker Bar themed map I am working on for the Brawl mod http://brawl.moddb.com/

The map has an outdoor appearance to it (bricks, grafitti, etc.) because of the theme I picked. I was trying to incorporate an outdoor feel using outdoor objects and props, bricks, grafitti, apparatuses and other noticable things. The fog was added to appear as cigar/cigarette smoke in the bar.

PS. There is some good fighting music playing in the background via speakers placed around the bar and onstage smiley

There is a stage for live bands to play on. I am not sure whether or not I will add in a backstage area. The washrooms are not yet complete. The current pool tables are only prefabs made with brushes to hold off untill I receieve my model. A few other models are also being waited upon.

*REGARDING THE COLOURED LIGHTS
The reasoning behind these lights is that there will be band equipment set up on stage when the models are complete. The lights actually shine down upon a stage where a band would play. It's as if the band show is being set up and lighting is being tested... But I will definately make a few flicker like what was suggested smiley

I hope you enjoy this WIP map, and I hope you take interest in the Brawl mod.

>> Updates soon.

If you have played Devil May Cry 3 on PS2 you will have fought the level in a disco. It had brilliant looking lights.

http://www.devilmaycry3.com/Menu/Devil-May-Cry-3/screens/17.jpg

Here is sorta it but let me get a better shot...

http://www.bomul.com/data_img/pds/screenshot/screen_10831_devil3_1.jpg

Again not too good, Google is so tricky :S

http://www.gamescorner.info/galeria/albums/userpics/10005/normal_devil-may-cry-3-20040923014027099.jpg

http://www.hsgamers.com/ps2/screenshots/dmc3/2.jpg

See the coloured lights I am looking for those but I can't find it argh

Sorry if I wasted my time but I wasted my mapping hour to help you.

Looks pretty good, very different from the other c17/f**ked up places/canal maps around.
Not too fond of the fog though, I can get the effect you wanted to create but I don't think it worked well. Maybe changing the color ? Make it not so thick ?

I agree, the fog seems rather silly to me. I've never seen indoor fog like that... ever.

Those spotlights..... I think they need to be more transparent (not sure if that is possible or not) and make them more of a dull type of colour. They should remain the same type of colour, but it needs more grey in it, as atm the lights are taking away from the maps realism.

Spotlight in pic 2 should be bigger and be lined up properly.

Just my thoughts at the moment. The map is looking good, I look forward to future updates.

Maybe you could try having a couple of the lights broken, to help maintain the rundown bar look.

There has been some changes since those pictures were taken. I did remove one of the lights to add to the 'rundown' look. And I also took some intensity out of the colour of the beams.

This picture somewhat shows what I mean..

http://brawl.bluewolf72.com/media.php?full=73
