This is a a discussion topic for the map "dm_detritus_v2" by satchmo which can be found here

Map description:
-----------------

"Detritus" is a biological term for particulate dead organic material. It typically includes the bodies of dead organisms, fragments of organisms or fecal material, and is normally colonised by communities of microorganisms which act to decompose the remnant.*

I made dm_detritus because there appears to be a shortage of good quality small maps designed for 1v1 gameplay. In addition, Ravenholm-themed maps are not plethoric.

I stayed up all night making this map, often skipping meals and bathroom breaks. I completed this map in less than five days. It's my pride and joy, built with blood and sweat.

Due to playtesters' feedback (<A HREF="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WmlBrY9ZCY" TARGET="_blank">gameplay video</A>), I brightened up the map so it's more suitable for competitive gameplay.

Enjoy.

I ran around this map in a server today and the first thing that happened to me was getting stuck for no rerason in a well. I typed &quot;kill&quot; in the console and proceeded into a building where a giant contraption of some sort made it almost impossible to get to the RPG. I tried to grav gun it, but it was stuck to the floor. This was my first and last 5 minutes spent in the map. I suggest that you are off to a great mapping future, but this one is definitely unplayable. The layout is confusing, cramped, and awkward. The style is a hodge podge of ungainly textures, but it does look interesting from many vantage points. You do have a good eye for this but you need to study DM layouts and tips. <br>Good luck on your next release.<br /><br /><b>Verdict</b><br /><br />A beginners folly, but not the worst I've seen.

Dunno what Juim is talking about. Maybe he's referring to an old old version? This map plays very well for smaller numbers of players, I'm glad to have it on my server. It's fast, and while it works especially well for people who like to keep moving in patterns from pickup to pickup, it also has a couple of nice unexpected camping perches. Great little map!

Although I could think of a better introduction than an old Satchmo map... Welcome to Snarkpit.

My advice would be to look through the maps. There are much better authors to peruse. Either way, enjoy your stay.
