This is a a discussion topic for the map "JB_DAMN" by bigger1 which can be found here

Map description:

I've been moving forward in rescent weeks. despite the setbacks.

The original version "got away from me" in terms of size, so I had to re-organize it to to improve frame rates.

I have to say i'm pretty pleased with my first creation.

I'm looking forward to finnally finishing it. So I can start my next map "JB_OUTPOST"

I'm looking for comments. keeping in mind it's my first map.

Well, I am proud as punch to see an unknown who knows how to post decent images. I have seen way to many grandiose maps to get to overly worked up over a larger than life map though.

Without a download link, thats about all you'll expect. As to the content of the screens, I like what I see.

From what I see on the screens this is a _very_ good attempt for a first map! I really like the third screenshot. The lights are simple but very well placed.

For the other screenshots all I can say is that you have to light the ground brighter. Much brighter. People don't like to run on nearly black surfaces where they can't see where they are going and where enemies can "hide" in the middle of a street because it's so dark. Make sure the floor is the brightest part of the map in a night/evening map. Even if it means cutting some eyecandy atmosphere.

Remember sunlight and shiny monitor screens are a deadly combination that keeps darker maps from beeing playe on servers.
