as usual your comments are chock full of ........
expectation list, i dunno its just a thought i am batting around.. maybe we could come up with a general guide line list of common things that are just expected..
1) compiles consist of all 4 steps, if you have not done all 4 then you need not post a question on why it failed.
2) put lights in your map, at least 1
3) never enclose a map with a box to seal a leak, find the leak and fix it properly before posting you have a leak.. if you are unable to locate the leak, then ask..
4) when applicable, post the entire compile log showing all 4 steps.
5) ect,ect
you know, basic stuff that we assume they did, but didn't.. we tend to over look the obvious, because we assumed the new mapper already covered it..

still mumbling aside.. has anyone ever saw 3 hull leaks? |
Hull 0 (lighting) leaks for small holes. Hulls 1 - 3 all refer to different player sizes: standing, crouching, and then some oddshaped cube one. Depending on how large your hole is, one or more will occur. I have only seen one way for hulls 1 - 3 to leak without leaking hull 0 as well, and that is to use a worldbrush covered with a !texture (water) as a wall which blocks light but people can pass through.
As for expectation list, no one would read it I bet, I mean look how long it took them to realize you had to search before posting a question in this forum...
