That's the VERC entity documentation and it just so happens to have a great page on Trigger_relays

I have another question now. Is there ever a time that you would want to use a trigger_relay over a multi_manager?
What is the difference between trigger_relay and multi_manager?

Well in essence the multi_manager kinda makes the trigger_relay redundant.
However, the trigger_relay can send a "trigger state" such as on, off and toggle to it's target as opposed to the multi_manager which just toggles it's target. The trigger relay also has a "remove on fire" flag to remove itself after it has fired it's target which can come in handy.
