I am making a mod and I would like it to be able to use the high def graphics. But I am having issues getting it to work properly.
The thing is, is that it is partly working. As in the monsters do look better and whenever you see a weapon on the ground you can tell that the weapon is using the high-def graphics, but when you pick up the weapon it looks the same as in the regular half-life.
So does anyone know how to make your in-use weapons appear in high-def as well?
Thanks.

There's another set of models for it. The model of the in hand weapon is different than the external view.
I don't remember which ones are needed though.

Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

So I guess you do not have any idea where they would be located. I already tried looking in the paks but I didn't find anything that seemed like it was for high-def.
I checked the models and the weapons had the p,v, and w models but there did not seem to be any high-def versions though. Unless they were overwritten with the new ones. I guess I'll try that out.
NOPE DID NOT WORK
So I guess the issue now is: Where are the high-def in hand weapon models located at?

Thanks for the link but for starters I do not have Steam. And the other thing is that I already downloaded the high-def content for HL, Opposing, and Blue Shift.
And it does work for those, and partly for mine: (just not the in-hand weapons, so not sure what the issue is)
Anymore ideas?

Why not use Steam exactly? It's got a content management system for all this kind of stuff.
Anyway, then I don't know what to tell you, just research which models are the HD versions and copy them over. You need to have an installed version of the HD pack to do that. You can't do this from packed files.

I did find a HL Hi-def model pack and I tried copying the files and... It worked!
Thanks for the idea.
