(For HL: Opposing Force)

I want to have it so that the monster_shocktrooper will use the Gauss gun in place of its shockroach and that it will drop the Guass upon death. Is this possible to do without using any coding or anything?

If the above is NOT possible then is there a way to make it so that the player cannot pick up the shockroach from the dead shocktrooper?

1) Is it at least possible to make it so that the player is not able to pick up the shcokroach?

2) Is it possible to make it so that the shockroach weapon does not regenerate ammo? (Again without any coding)

That is a major issue for my map, I don't want the player to have that weapon, especially since it has infinite ammo.

1) Nope. Stuff like that is hard coded in.

2) Not sure, check if maybe the "monster" entity has a flag that says "dont drop weapon." I thought that HL1 monters had that

Nope it doesn't have it. (I think Sven Coop or Spirit, or something has that option though) Thanks for the idea though.

It might be possible to write your own code to give it a different weapon but that would very difficult unless you can write code. I know I'm not able to, but someone here might be able to help.
I would assume that you would have make a custom character and place it separately in you your map mod folders. smiley
