I just got GenSurf today, which is a terrain creation tool and I told it to create something and I also gave it an output map file and then I tell it to write map. After it writes the map it says that it is done. So I assume everything worked fine.
Now my question is how do you use what it created? I tried opening the map file that it wrote to but it does not show up. So does anyone know how to use what this program creates? Just for the record I also tried checking the box to append to the map file as well, but that also did nothing. Thanks!

I found out how to view the terrain that it created and I can even compile it and walk around in it, but once I close the editor and try to open it again it says that the file does not exist. Also, I noticed that when I saved it the file had a lock symbol on it, but then when you close Hammer the file disappears. So, unless anyone has any ideas I guess I will just stick to the more traditional ways of building maps. Thanks.
