Saving isn't going to slow things down noticeably... If it is, get your HDD checked. It might be damaged if all disk accesses are taking noticeably long times. I have never found saving to slow things down, even momentarily. (Obviously, there will be a slight delay, but it won't be noticeable considering the speed of modern disk drives)

Well if it's something to do with my hard drive, its either that, or maybe because its on the same ide channel as my dvd drive [ at the time, I could only get one round cable ]

Ohhh...... never thought of that, updatung to 61.77 nvidia drivers [ had 53.03 installed]
