How do I get an NPC like Barney to be invurnable to friendly fire? Ive tried everything (For Sven-Coop, but it should be the same as Half-Life)

Ive seen it done in a handful of maps, its not the server setting cause I tried it in my own server. He had his custom health at 100. I want it at 100 because I also want the players to protect him against monsters.

Name the entity after me, andit will be invulnerable to EVERYTHING....

No. Not that I know of. Only ENEMIES could harm the NPC in that case, but freindly can't (atleast this is what I've seen). [addsig]

As far as I know, this isnt possible without coding, or using a mod like Sven Coop.

Note that the original question was in multiple colours, and makes the assertion that there is little/no difference between SC and HL.

If you're sure you've seen it in a map, decompile it (see our files page for decompiler). And if you find out, please post here how to do it
