You can check for errors int he rmf too. I myself only use the map file when the rmf decides to be a bastard and become corrupt (As what happened to my G-Man Death 4th map minutes ago). It's no fun to redo the vis groups.

And don't say you don't use vis groups!

I can't find the specific reference, but I believe the point is that off-grid brushes show up as invalid in the .map whereas they would be perfectly valid in the .rmf.

Spartan has a viable reason for wanting to use the .map file. if you aren't trying to solve that problem, don't post.
