This is driving me crazy:
Warning: Too many direct light styles on a face(?,?,?)
I didnt make any more light styles between my compiles, and still I get this error. What is the max? 3? Anyway, I dont even have over 3 in the entire map!
Any clues greatly appreciated 
Hmm....I'm not sure, but it's possible that any distinctly-named entity lights could contribute to the number of styles.
Try removing all lights that have a name, or a style (ie flicker etc.). See if that fixes it.

keep adding them till you either succeed, or localize what is wrong

Good grief man, what's wrong with you? Just TRY some of these suggestions; you might find they work. Alternatively, you could just sit there until someone gives you the perfect explanation.
You don't have to delete the lights permanently. Go on, experiment a bit!
