Go to the flags tab and set "X-axis" or "Y-axis". You can determine which is the right one by experiment.

Also be sure to have the entity brush where you'd like the door to hinge when it swings open.

If you've got your three views in Worldcraft you can pick which axis needs to be checked by doing this:

1) Decide where you want it to go (up/down, left/right, or roll).

2) Look at the three views (x/y, y/z, x/z) and find the one where the object will appear to be rotating "clockwise or counterclockwise" (if that makes any sense)

3) Check the box for the axis that is not there (e.g. if you see your object will rotate on the x/y view, then use the Z axis.)

Or something like that. I dunno, I could be wrong, it's been a while since I looked at rotating stuff.

actually that is correct horndawg.....well done.....

i was asked to do a tutorial on the cartesian coordinate system awhile back, spose i should get off my dead ass and do it... its a big help to truly understand how it works....
