Check your computer for viruses. Also check to see if there are any Windows updates or repairs available. Unistall VHE and reinstall it. Thats what I recommend anyways..
[edit] there are sounds in the pak0.pak file for the grunts. So you can make basic sentence structures.

I'd really like to ask that people use complete sentences when posting. This:
Should i uninstall Valve and install but what will this do, i downloaded 3.5 beta and it did the same, do u think it could be a virus.
is three sentences in one and really hard to follow.
Likewise the phrase:
whenever i try to ope open start a new map
makes no sense and states that you are both opening a map and starting a new one. These are contradictory actions! Which is it?
I have seen Hammer have crashing trouble when people's video card drivers are not properly updated. To update your drivers:
- Find out what card you have
- Go to the card manufacturer's website
- Search for new drivers, most likely involving choosing your vid card from a dropbox list
Please do not lump completely off topic "I want you to tell me everything ever about mapping" questions into this post (i.e. that scientist question)
If you're having trouble with the current release of VHE, you can find an older one, or use WorldCraft, or QuArK, or QERadiant, or whatever.
