On my deathmatch map one of two guns is more of a mounted sniper rifle. I would like it to project a red laser to where it points to help player with aiming. it can be constantly visible OR, if possible, the laser would turn on only when a player is using the func_tank.

I experimented with func_tank and func_tanklaser with the same names, but without positive results. I know this is easily achievable in Spirit of Half-Life, but I would like the map to be available for Half-Life itself as well.

Can it be done? Does it involve tinkering with .fgd file? If so, will it be compatibile on every other copy of Half-Life 1.1.1.1 ?

I've seen somebody--can't remember who-- use a game_text "x" to simulate a crosshairs on a func_tank, (you could use a period too i guess) so when you're operating the func_tank, the game_text is on.

I know it's not what you want, but it doesn't require spirit or coding.

I can only tell you thet HL1.1.1.1 ang HL1.1.1.0 arent much different.Well...on HL1.1.1.0 are working the mods...Wait!This isnt asering anything.I see what are you trying,but cant help you
