Yeah I was trying to do an atom with the elctrons flying in their eliptical orbits, but thats what it turned out as.

That is the electron density isosurface of Trinitrotoluene (TNT) maybe you should use the schrodinger equation to generate your petterns if you are going for atomic orbitals.

It was really just a joke. The schrodinger equation for a complex 3 dimensional system like a molecule is a linear partial differential equation in three variables. This is a subject for an entire textbook, not a quick explaination. [addsig]
