I started working on this thing a couple of days ago, it's a pretty cool looking weapon, and it's the only semiautomatic revolver I've heard of.
I'd say it's about halfway done, I need to redo the handle, change the size of the chambers, and the maybe redo the trigger area as well. About the handle, does anyone have any tips on modeling that shape, I'm terrible when it comes to anything that even resembles organic objects, so any help would be appreciated.

Picture time.

Pretty cool looking! smiley

I think the handle looks fine, you just need to smooth the edges.

It's not fine, it's basically just an extruded shape with some round edges. to be more specific, these are the areas I don't really know how to approach.

It's looking pretty damn sexy! For all those smooth surfaces leading up to hard edges, it would help to know which modeling package you were using!

In layman's terms, Based on whatever modeling program you might be using, I would find a way to 'subdivide' the surfaces around the hard edges (split & add polygons) and then use (XSI has the proportional modeling tool) to make any clean sweeps smooth as a baby's bottom. Or you could just use any of the bevel commands I'm sure every modeling package has (including XSI). Have it do a concave bevel and sort it out from there. This might be a more exact approach, since you are artistically, working with metal and wood.

Looking pretty cool though, nice gun to be modeling smiley -Ever shot one?
