I made this shed for a map. The problem is you can't enter the shed, I don't know if this is a game problem, texturing problem of what. You walk up to it and you stop at any opening. Anyone have any ideas? It was modeled in xsi mod tool.

No I haven't checked that as far as I know. I used it as a prop static also so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

The collision model defines a model's hitbox (what bullets, players, objects, npcs collide with) so what could be happening is either a) the engine is using the model's bounding box for collision detection for some reason (have you defined a collision model?) or b) you haven't added the $concave parametre to the qc file.
Can't help you any more than that, I don't use XSI perhaps you should check out Riven's XSI modeling tutorials.

Ah, that might be it. I know I didn't add the $concave parameter to the .qc. I'll recompile and see if that's it.
Thnx for the idea.

Hey Arron, how would I mark your reply as the proper one.. the correct answer?
You are right, the models hit box needs to be fixed.. what he/she has now is a box as far as the game engine is concerned.

Definately a hitbox issue, tried to fix it but the model was borked up in XSI when I reopened it. Not sure what happened so i quick fixed it but dumping the hitbox and putting nodraw at all the points where you would run into something. At least until I can fix it right. Seems to work ok, just no hitbox.

Just goes to show ya, I may be 55 but I ain't dead when it comes to appreciating a couple of nice cold..Uhmm, let's just say I like cool weather.
By the way is there anyway to edit hitboxes other than with the model viewer. If that where I am guessing you do it.

The model viewer doesn't edit the hotboxes. The only way to edit them is to create a collision model and then recompile the model. If you want to edit the hitboxes after that you need to edit the collision model then recompile.
