After we´ve taken a long break, at 20.11 we will start our next modelingcontest. Since we got support from the unreal-community, this contest will not be limited to a specific engine.
That means that you can participate with models in Source-, Unreal-, or any other game-engine-format. Because of the different strenghts of several engines, we won´t compare every model to each other. Instead we will rate the models based on the technical capabilities of the chosen engine, and what you´ve achieved with it.
The Contest-theme this time is vehicles. We will accept anything that is able to move and driven by men. Cars, motorbikes, tanks, excavators, wheelbarrows, zeppelins, paddleboats...
Be creative, surprise us! The best modeler will be chosen by our Jury after the closingdate at 5.12 and gets an 50€ Amaton-coupon and the title "Winner of the fourth official gaming-models.de modeling-contest"
Good luck!

Hey guys,
time to wake up
Only 4 participators right now and the end of the contest is this sunday.
So if you are uncertain about if you´re good enough, now you have a really good chance to be one of our contest-winners

Ah, sorry for not getting right on this. This really deserved a front page news post. less than a week to finish? -If you've got some modeling skill it behooves you not to try at this competition (assuming you have the time!).
We have a few people who model a bit, but I don't know if they would call themselves modelers.

Less than a week.. don't think I can in that time have a viable piece ready. But dig the sight... even if it is mostly in German.

When i first anounced the contest, there were two weeks left for model-creation
To bad you don´t the time to participate.
But don´t be sad, the next contest will come...
Btw. the board is mostly german because the community from which gaming-models.de evolved was a german mapping-community.
Officially we are an international platform.
If you want more english in there, feel free to come in and participate.
Most germans younger then thirty speak english mostly fluent...
